NSB Names Darci Hamm as President
NORWAY — Following an extensive search process, Norway Savings Bank is proud to announce that Darci Hamm, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of NSB, has been appointed as the bank’s 18th President, effective immediately. Hamm succeeds Dan Walsh, who has served as NSB President since 2020. Walsh will remain as Chief Executive Officer of the bank until his retirement on December 31, 2027, and will continue to serve as a member of the NSB Board of Directors following his retirement.
Hamm is a native of Lincoln, Maine, where she was valedictorian of her class at Mattanawcook Academy before earning a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Maine. She has served at Norway Savings Bank since 1999 as an In-Store Banking Administrator, Regional Vice President of Retail Banking, Senior Vice President of Retail Banking, and Executive Vice President and Senior Retail Banking Officer. In 2023, Hamm was named Chief Operating Officer, leading the bank’s enterprise strategy, planning, and execution across asset management, commercial lending, retail banking, cash management, customer care, marketing, and deposit and loan operations.

In addition to her duties at NSB, Hamm serves on the Board of Directors for hoMEworks, which has helped thousands of Maine residents make sounder decisions in the homeownership process, and has acted as an advisor and volunteer at a multitude of nonprofits, including the Olympia Snowe Women’s Leadership Institute and Junior Achievement of Maine.

She has also contributed countless hours outside of the bank to improving our communities, from sharing her knowledge and expertise in increasing financial literacy to volunteering for many nonprofits while encouraging fellow team members to similarly offer their time and talents. As we celebrate our 160th anniversary as a bank, Darci is exceptionally prepared to guide NSB forward.”

Hamm lives in Yarmouth with her husband, Mike, and has two adult children, Gavin and Evan. In addition to the University of Maine, she is also a graduate of the New England School for Financial Studies and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
