Bike Maine with Karen – Day 3

I’ve decided some Tuesday’s are better than others….today was a gem! Started the day at 8:00 am heading inland and passed by Machias Elementary and Elm Street schools and all of the children were cheering us on as we rode by – seriously welled up for a minute…then up, up, UP we rode – expressing gratitude for living and riding in the Oxford Hills! (3440 elevation gain) We climbed at least four Bell Hills today.

Beautiful views and lots of blueberry fields. Lunch at the Charlotte Fire Dept. was REALLY good. I loved the bike trail heading into Eastport but I am happy to be at camp until Thursday morning. After 59.1 miles today – we rest tomorrow and enjoy Eastport on a rainy day….
