A Message from the President

It has been a very white winter here in Maine and we hope that the snow is bringing business and smiles to many! I would like to take some time to reflect and highlight some of the major accomplishments from 2014. It was a year full of awards and recognitions, new branch openings and new technology implemented to make banking easier for our customers.

We are proud to have been named one of the Top 200 Healthiest Banks in the United States by DepositAccounts.com. We also received 2014 Gold-Level Work Healthy Awards from Healthy Androscoggin and Healthy Oxford Hills for supporting worksite wellness programs.

In 2014, Norway Savings expanded our geographic footprint by opening two new branches, bringing the total number of branches to twenty-four! The 23rd location on Forest Ave. in Portland opened in a temporary location in July, and then customers were welcomed into the renovated branch building in September. In December, our 24th branch opened in Gray, located across from the Hannaford shopping center on Route 26. We are thrilled to join both communities, and hope that you will stop in and visit if you’re in the area.

Even in the midst of two branch openings, Norway Savings Bank employees were working busily behind the scenes to ensure that our customers could benefit from the latest technology. In September, we launched Mobile Deposit Solutions, a service that allows you to deposit checks anywhere, anytime right from your mobile device! Throughout 2015, we will be continually working on improving our technology and delivery to provide you with the best banking experience possible.
