NSB Continues Longtime Support of Western Foothills Land Trust

NORWAY—In recognition of its mission to preserve access to nature and promote public health, Norway Savings Bank is pleased to donate $1,000 to the Western Foothills Land Trust (WFLT), an organization that has drawn more than $29,000 in contributions from NSB over the last decade.

Based in Norway, the WFLT cares for over 6,000 acres of conserved land and provides world-class recreation opportunities for hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and one of Maine’s premiere Nordic ski networks at Roberts Farm Preserve on Roberts Road. In addition, the organization helps local landowners conserve an additional 4,000 acres of forestland.

“Norway Savings Bank has played a critical role in furthering our mission to conserve our region’s forests and provide people with these opportunities,” said Korey Morgan, Executive Director of WFLT. “NSB’s service to the broader Oxford Hills community we both call home is just extraordinary.”

In 2025, WFLT preserves saw more than 100,000 visits, including the hosting of many special events and educational programming for local students.

“These are more than numbers. They reflect consistent engagement with local families, visitors, and outdoor enthusiasts across New England and beyond,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of NSB. “We’re so grateful for the crucial benefits WFLT provides to the many people who enjoy these natural resources.”
