NSB Donates $2,025 to Topsham Area Nonprofits in Honor of Branch’s 40th Anniversary
PORTLAND — On September 8-12, Norway Savings Bank celebrated the 40th anniversary of the NSB branch on 47 Topsham Fair Mall Road with a week of games, giveaways, and refreshments to thank customers for their loyalty and support.
During the week, visitors to the branch were also invited to vote for local non-profit organizations to determine how a celebratory $2,025 in donations would be split. The leading vote-getters and recipients of the donations were:
- Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program, which operates programs throughout mid coast Maine that aim to ensure there’s an easy way for everyone in the community to access food close to home;
- Topsham Public Library, which connects the community to resources, programs, and services that can stimulate personal growth, culture, and enrichment;
- Tedford Housing, which provides an emergency homeless shelter, supportive housing for previously homeless families and individuals, homelessness prevention services, and outreach services case management;
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick, which empowers young people on their path to graduate with a plan for the future and provide mentors that can last a lifetime.
In the coming months, NSB will celebrate branch anniversaries in Fryeburg (50th) and Gorham (20th). Earlier this summer, the bank also commemorated the 25th anniversary of its branch on Congress Street in Portland.
