NSB Continues Longtime Support of Tedford Housing in Brunswick
BRUNSWICK—With the opening of Tedford Housing’s new emergency shelter for adults and families in late 2025, the nonprofit organization took another step forward in its mission of serving as a comprehensive resource for reducing homelessness.
Norway Savings Bank has been proud to financially assist Tedford through the years, including a $1,000 donation for operational support this month and over $67,000 in contributions in the last seven years.
Founded in 1987, Tedford Housing provides a shelter, supportive housing, homelessness prevention services, and outreach services case management. The new shelter located on Thomas Point Road near Cooks Corner has enabled Tedford to consolidate adult and family shelters as well as its administrative offices.
“It’s incredible to see how Tedford Housing improves the quality of life for those in need on a daily basis while continually looking for ways to expand their assistance capabilities to reach even more people,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “To be able to play a small part in helping Tedford offer these vital services and empower people to move from homelessness to feeling at home in the community means so much to NSB.”
