NSB Donates $1,000 to Both Casco Days and Waterford World’s Fair
NORWAY—Summer fairs and festivals are as beloved a part of the fabric of Maine as lobsters and blueberries. Norway Savings Bank has long supported many of these celebrations around the state. NSB is pleased to contribute $1,000 to Casco Days (July 24-26, 2025) in recognition of its role as an enduring source of pride and one of the last all-volunteer fairs in Maine. The bank also donated an additional $1,000 to the Waterford World’s Fair (July 18-20, 2025), which originated in 1852 and remains dedicated to preserving the rural heritage of the area through the showcasing of the beauty and importance of agriculture, horticulture, and mechanical arts. Both events feature a load of activities for kids, a variety of food, and live entertainment.
“Norway Savings Bank has traditionally been kind enough to be one of our primary sponsors, and we appreciate all of that support for this extraordinary event,” said Lyndsay Cullinan, a Casco Days committee member. “Each year, hundreds of people volunteer, and thousands gather for fireworks, parades, rides, games, food, concerts, and more! In return, Casco Days donates tens of thousands of dollars annually back into a variety of charities and community organizations across western Maine.”
“It’s so great to see our fair going strong thanks to hard work, enthusiastic volunteers, and amazing sponsors like Norway Savings. We greatly appreciate the support as our little fair evolves on an upward path as a family-friendly, educational, demonstrational, and entertaining experience,” said Lisa Fox, President of the Waterford World’s Fair Association.
“NSB appreciates the significance and meaning of events like Casco Days and Waterford World’s Fair which have stood the test of time for good reason,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “They provide smiles to visitors from children to seniors, display such a volunteer spirit, and enable countless memories to be made.”
