NSB Fraud Awareness Workshop in Standish Draws Full House

STANDISH—Over 30 community members gathered in the Sebago Lake Room of the Standish Municipal Office on September 17 (pictures below) to learn more about financial fraud ‘red flags’ and how to protect themselves against the most common scams being seen today.

‘Fraud or Not?’ was presented by Amy Lehigh, Market Manager VP for NSB, and Landen Emery, Customer Relations Representative at NSB. The free event provided participants with helpful tools and knowledge they can utilize if they are ever confronted with potential fraud.

“My friends and I who attended are still talking about it and the people who weren’t able to attend due to schedule conflicts expressed their disappointment. That just proves what an important topic this is. The leaders were kind, informative, and non-judgmental as people shared their stories,” said one participant.

“It was a great turnout and we’re so happy that people found it valuable,” said Lehigh.

The success and interest have inspired NSB to expand these types of opportunities to the wider community in the months ahead.

“This is a topic that people can identify with and the information can really help,” said Lehigh.
