NSB Donates $2,500 to Spurwink
PORTLAND—Each year, over 10,000 people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds are served by Spurwink through a wide variety of programs and services aimed at helping participants lead engaged, connected, and meaningful lives in their communities.
At over 50 active Maine locations, Spurwink provides behavioral health care, substance use disorder services, and support services.
The organization’s remarkable mission and impact have inspired NSB for years, including with a $2,500 donation this month.
“It’s overwhelming to see how Spurwink helps children, individuals, and families access critical services while helping them meet their basic needs. It’s inspiring and crucial work, and NSB is thrilled to be able to play a small part in helping this benevolent and driven organization grow and flourish,” said Dan Walsh, CEO of Norway Savings Bank.
“We value NSB’s dedicated investment in our mission,” said Eric Meyer, President and CEO of Spurwink. “When we step back from our individual roles, we see the whole of a mosaic taking shape: a vision of children, adults, and families affected by behavioral health challenges and developmental disabilities living healthy, engaged lives in their communities. NSB’s role is a critically important piece of our mosaic.”
