NSB Donates $2,500 to the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival; Bank Has Served as the Season Sponsor for 20 Years
HARRISON—Founded in 1972, the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival aims to present and promote high-quality chamber music performances, bringing the richness and acoustical balance of a small number of instruments to Lake Region crowds. Held at the historic Deertrees Theatre in Harrison, the summer festival offers a five-week series of chamber music concerts on Tuesday nights with a variety of instrumental combinations and familiar works balanced with lesser known ones. For 20 years, including in 2025, Norway Savings Bank is pleased to serve as the season sponsor of the festival with a $2,500 contribution.
“We’re proud to celebrate the festival’s long commitment to bringing live and vibrant chamber music experiences to Maine residents and visitors,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “It has evolved from a small tribute to a storied form of music into a beloved summer tradition for many individuals and families.”
“Music Director and pianist Mihae Lee has curated five Tuesday evening performances for the 2025 season with 24 gifted world‐class musicians. We’ll also continue our community outreach programs in Bridgton, Norway, South Paris, Waterford, Scarborough, and Falmouth” said Carol Madsen, Vice President of the Festival’s Board of Trustees. “We’re so grateful for Norway Savings Bank’s two decades of funding and being by our side each year. It means a great deal to the festival.”
“For the artists who perform at the Festival, a highly valued part of their experience is this deepening connection with our devoted audience and vibrant musical community,” said Lee. “We’re continually thankful to NSB for their support in ensuring this beloved festival continues to grow and thrive. These contributions enable us to reach people of all ages and instill in them an appreciation for the timeless beauty of chamber music.”
