NSB Proud to Sponsor Santa Shuffle for the Children in Bridgton on Dec. 6

BRIDGTON—It’s a heartwarming event that benefits the children of Bridge Crossing Children’s Home and Bridge Crossing Academy, ensuring they receive the care, education, and opportunities they deserve. The Santa Shuffle 5K Run/Walk for the Children is set for Saturday, December 6, with the children’s fun run starting at 9:45 a.m. and the 5K run/walk set for 10:30 a.m. Participants will run through the seven levels of the Candy Cane Forest, past the sea of twirly-swirly gumdrops, and back to Bridge Crossing Academy (7 Nulty Street in Bridgton). Participants are encouraged to wear festive attire, from Santa hats to antlers to ugly sweaters. Afterward, all are welcome to warm up with hot cocoa and join the post-race celebration at Queen’s Head Pub, complete with food specials, music, and holiday cheer.

As part of NFI North and founded in 1996, Bridge Crossing has become one of the most innovative providers of children’s residential mental and behavioral health services. The organization offers a residential program for children ages 5-14, and provides specialized education through its fully licensed day school (Bridge Crossing Academy). Programs are designed to accommodate the special needs of children and families and believe that when at all possible, children belong with their families. It strives to provide the support and structure that all children need and ensure that young people are physically and emotionally safe.
