NSB Announces Art Contest Winner
Calendar release marks the launch of the 150th Anniversary Celebration
NORWAY, Maine – In 2016, Norway Savings Bank will be celebrating 150 years of service. Earlier in 2015, the Bank held an art contest that sought work from artists in a variety of mediums and subjects that represent the Norway Savings Bank brand and the Maine way of life.
Barbara Traficonte of Waterford was selected as the first place winner for her “Colorful Solutions” painting of the main office building in Norway. Barbara’s winning artwork earned her $1,000 and is featured on the cover of the 2016 desktop calendar as within a commemorative book that will be published to chronicle the Bank’s 150-year history

“Barbara’s artwork truly represents the spirit of the Colorful Solutions brand,” said Patricia Weigel, President & CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “We are honored to recognize a local artist for her talent and are thrilled to feature Barbara’s artwork on our 150th Anniversary calendar and commemorative book.”
Twelve additional Maine artists were selected as honorable mention recipients. Each artist received $100 and has their artwork featured in the 2016 desktop calendar:
