Norway Savings Bank Promotes Darci Hamm to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
NORWAY—Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce that Darci Hamm (pictured below) has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer. Hamm began her career with the Bank in 1999, and most recently served as Executive Vice President, Senior Retail Banking Officer.
“In her new role, Darci will continue her existing oversight of Deposit Operations, Security, BSA and Cash Management, while overseeing Retail Banking and Commercial Lending,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “Darci’s experience and institutional knowledge are invaluable commodities, and her track record of accomplishments has been remarkable. Her appreciation for the special nature of a mutual savings bank and its place in our communities makes Darci the perfect choice.”
Hamm has been instrumental in many of the Bank’s strategic initiatives over the past 25 years, starting as an In-Store Branch Administrator and moving through the retail ranks to Senior Vice President in 2007 and Executive Vice President in 2018.

Inside the Bank, she is an avid promoter of offering a positive and fulfilling environment for employees. Hamm has served on the Bank’s Culture Steering Committee and Culture Implementation Crew. She is also a community leader, having served on the Norway Downtown board for many years, as a volunteer with Junior Achievement, and as a board member for hoMEworks, a nonprofit group in Maine dedicated to consumer homebuyer education.
Hamm is a graduate of the University of Maine and the New England School of Banking.
