Norway Savings Bank Donates New Floor to Trinity Jubilee Center in Lewiston

NORWAY, Maine – Norway Savings Bank is proud to announce that it recently donated $1,012.00 to Trinity Jubilee Center, located in Lewiston, ME, to be used for building materials as it renovates its space.

On a recent tour, Norway Savings Bank President, Pat Weigel and Commercial Lender, Donny Hinkley saw the dire need of a new floor for its busy multi-purpose space. Hinkley, who is also the Treasurer of the Board of Trinity Jubilee Center, noted that they had a crew of volunteers ready to help lay the floor but several grant applications to pay for flooring materials had gone unfunded.

Erin Reed, Executive Director of Trinity Jubilee Center, was surprised when, a week later, Donny, Pat and Ian Pullen, another Commercial Lender, delivered a check in the exact amount needed for the building materials.

“This is the busiest room in our center,” said Reed. “People use this space to create resumes, apply for jobs and meet with counselors who help with their financial futures.  It’s imperative for our clients to have a functional work space for these purposes.”

“We saw the incredible work that Erin and her team do for the people of Lewiston,” said Weigel. “They not only help with finding jobs and housing, but also provide hot meals and healthy groceries. I’m proud that we were able to help.”
