Norway Savings Bank contributes $500 to the American Legion Post 155 through “Coins for Community” program

NORWAY, Maine – Norway Savings Bank is proud to announce a $500 donation to the American Legion Post 155 – Naples, Casco and Raymond, as part of its “Coins for Community” program. Every time a community member uses the change counter in the NSB Naples branch, a donation is made to the Coins for Community fund.

“Our new ‘Coins for Community’ program at the Naples branch provides a great service for our customers and the community,” stated Mary Martell, Branch Manager of the NSB Naples branch. “This is the first donation we’ve had the opportunity to make since installing the coin counting machine last May.”

“This very generous donation is going to go towards our Giving Tree program,” said Emily McHugh, Facilities Manager of Post 155. “The Giving Tree is something we do every year to help support local families in need during the holiday season. This (donation) will go a long way in doing that. From everyone here at Post 155 we thank you!”

“The convenience of using our coin machine saves time and just makes life easier,” said Martell. “It’s so easy to give to the Coins for Community program. Just bring your loose change into the branch lobby, use the counting machine and the fees you would normally pay go to the fund. Everyone in the community is invited to participate!”
