Norway Savings Bank Makes August Contributions to Three North Conway Nonprofits

NORTH CONWAY—Since opening the doors to its new branch on 11 Commercial Drive in North Conway last summer, Norway Savings Bank has been proud and gratified to contribute donations, volunteer hours, and other assistance to many local nonprofits doing great things in the Mount Washington Valley region. NSB is happy to offer contributions this month to three such organizations:

Tin Mountain Conservation Center
Tin Mountain Conservation Center in Albany has promoted an appreciation of the environment in children, families, and the community since 1980. It provides the Mount Washington Valley region and western Maine with high-quality environmental education programs, community outreach, and summer nature camps. The organization’s Nature Program Series offers more than 70 annual programs, while Tin Mountain’s Research Programs focus on Avian and Native Brook Trout Research. Starting Point
Starting Point provides free and confidential services to victims of domestic and sexual violence, stalking, and human trafficking in Carroll County. The organization’s goal is to address and ultimately end the cycle of violence in the home while supporting survivors with dignity and compassion. Since 1981, Starting Point has offered innovative programs for change, expanding and adjusting programs as needs arise. Over the past several months, NSB has donated $1,000 to the organization, including $500 in July, to assist this passionate team of advocates, volunteers, and supporters. ACTS Service Dogs
Based in Center Conway, ACTS Service Dogs is dedicated to raising highly trained service dogs and placing them with people who have mobility disabilities as well as preparing facility dogs for professionals who utilize animal-assisted therapy in their daily work. The dogs transform lives by providing independence, companionship, and comfort. This year, the organization began an expansion project on its office to enable it to double the amount of dogs it can provide by 2030.
