Norway Savings Bank announces local contest winner

NORWAY, Maine – Norway Savings Bank is proud to congratulate Mitchell Lisowski of Harrison, winner of our local round of the Lights, Camera, Save! video contest.

The Lights, Camera, Save! video contest is one of several components of the ABA Education Foundation’s Teach Children to Save program. This component is a unique competition that encourages teens to use video to educate themselves and their peers about the value of saving and using money wisely.

Mitchell’s video, entitled S.A.V.E. uses the acronym to demonstrate how saving money opens up a world of possibilities to a person as it is an investment in the future. Mitchell’s winning video can be viewed on the Norway Savings Bank YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOKX93M_3DU

Mitchell is a student at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and enjoys creating short films. His winning video submission earned him a $250 college scholarship from Norway Savings Bank, which was presented at the Norway branch on Tuesday, December 20th. His video has also been submitted to the American Bankers Association Education Foundation to represent Norway Savings Bank at the national level of the Lights, Camera, Save! contest. Winners at the national level will receive $5,000, $2,500 or $1,000 to help fund their savings goals.
