#25in2025: Familiar Face Ready to Help North Conway Customers “Achieve Their Dreams”

NORTH CONWAY — “Many of our customers live and work in North Conway. The new branch will provide convenience and a sense of inclusiveness,” said Kristen Charette. “Our customers are reaching out and are very excited that we are coming to town.”

Coming to town is something Charette (pictured below) did decades ago, and she never left.

As the 25th branch of Norway Savings Bank readies to open this spring in a newly constructed building in North Conway, she is one of several NSB team members, well known in the area, who will be waiting to welcome customers, both existing and new.

Charette began selling real estate in Fryeburg and the Mount Washington Valley in 2003 and joined NSB in 2012, where she has built and nurtured customer relationships ever since, currently in her role as Mortgage Loan Officer and Vice President. Whether it’s a purchase, refinancing, or construction of a new home, Charette has been lauded by customers and co-workers alike, including being named NSB’s Employee of the Year for 2024.

“At a recent real estate development meeting with a group of realtors and NSB employees, the person leading the project started the meeting by saying ‘the major reason we are working with Norway is because Kristen is the most determined and persistent lender that I’ve ever met,’” said Darci Hamm, Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at NSB. “She embraces collaboration and inspires trust when working with clients to find the best option for a mortgage and consistently receives positive customer feedback.”

“Being persistent is different than being pushy or salesy. When you believe in something, working hard to get the business is natural,” said Charette. “And I believe in NSB.”

Charette says that NSB’s culture and top-notch customer service will both be warmly received in their new home.

“New customers in North Conway will appreciate our knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming staff,” said Charette. “They will also be intrigued by our personalized products and services. We are different in our approach to banking relationships, and I think new customers will be very pleased.”

The expectation is that customers will also be pleased by the new branch itself, located on Commercial Drive and standing close to the new 126-acre Ridgeline Community, when the doors soon open and visitors are greeted with smiles, a warm environment, and a helping hand.

“The new branch is truly stunning. It is a grand building and fits the area quite well,” said Charette. “Every time I am in North Conway, someone will make comments to me about the new branch and the design. So many can’t wait to tour it. I can’t wait for the opening and to help people achieve their dreams.”

A new branch and a new state, but familiar faces and the same mission that has driven NSB for 159 years: walking with customers as they pursue their financial goals, being community contributors, and treating those it serves with respect and dignity. #25in2025
