NSB Donates $6,000 to Hospice of Southern Maine and Andwell Health Partners
LEWISTON—Norway Savings Bank has contributed $6,000 to assist Hospice of Southern Maine and Andwell Health Partners, now united as one nonprofit, in their mission of serving individuals and families across Maine with compassionate, high-quality care.
On April 1, 2026, the organizations joined together to enhance their collective ability to support patients and families and ensure long-term access to high-quality hospice, palliative care, home health, and supportive services in Maine.
Andwell is Maine’s largest independent non-profit home healthcare organization, serving patients across all 16 Maine counties, including at the Hospice House in Auburn and Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough. For over 20 years, Hospice of Southern Maine, also in Scarborough, has cared for those at the end of life while providing support and resources to caregivers, offering care and comfort when people need it most.
For patients and families, care teams and care plans remain unchanged, and services continued without interruption.
“It was wonderful to see the merger of these two organizations as the collaboration enables them to combine their many strengths and create an even more robust, compassionate, and accessible non-profit healthcare option for Mainers. The work that they do commands respect and admiration,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of NSB. “We are truly honored to give them assistance as they guide individuals and families with support, end-of-life education, and love.”
