NSB Donates $2,024 to Gray Area Nonprofits in Honor of Branch’s 10th Anniversary
GRAY—On August 12-16, Norway Savings Bank celebrated a decade in Gray with a weeklong celebration that included games, giveaways, and refreshments to thank customers for their loyalty to the branch located on 1 Libby Hill Road. The blueberry theme in decorations and signage stood tribute to the Gray Wild Blueberry Festival which preceded the anniversary celebration the prior weekend.
During the week, customers and community members were invited to go online or visit the branch and vote for local non-profit organizations to determine how a celebratory $2,024 in donations would be split. The recipients of the anniversary donations are:
- Gray Community Food Pantry, which provides food to all in need, regardless of residency or financial requirements.
- Gray Historical Society, which collects, preserves, and shares the history of the town and state.
- Gray Public Library Association, which supports the programs and activities of the Gray Public Library and educates the public on the importance of public libraries.
- Sabbathday Lake Shaker Village, which is home to the last active community of Shakers and includes a museum, store, and special events and demonstrations
This summer, NSB has also celebrated branch anniversaries in South Paris (40th), Forest Avenue in Portland (10th), and Bridgton (55th). On August 26-30, the bank will honor the 15th anniversary of the Yarmouth branch.
