NSB Donates Over $1,100 to Gorham Food Pantry

GORHAM—As part of the 20th anniversary celebration commemorating the opening of the Norway Savings Bank Gorham branch, NSB invited community members to visit the branch during the anniversary week (September 22-26) to help give away $2,025 to local nonprofits.

“All visitors were encouraged to cast their vote for a local nonprofit, and the money would be distributed according to their votes,” said Amy Lehigh, Market Manager VP of NSB in Gorham.

The process led to Gorham Food Pantry receiving $1,163.29 and other nonprofits also receiving donations, including Seedlings to Sunflowers.

Visitors were also met with great food like pastries, hot dogs, cookies, and other items; a Gorham-themed trivia contest; ladder ball; and the opportunity to take a guess in a piggy bank competition.

“We’re so grateful for our amazing Gorham community and we look forward to decades to come of building relationships and helping customers pursue the things that matter most to them,” said Lehigh. “We thank customers and non-customers for making this place so special and for the continued friendship and support.”

In late October, NSB will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its Fryeburg branch. Earlier this year, the bank commemorated the 25th anniversary of its branch on Congress Street in Portland and the 40th anniversary of the Topsham branch.
