NSB Donates $2,025 to Fryeburg-Area Nonprofits as Part of Branch’s 50th Anniversary Celebration

FRYEBURG—From free giveaways to food to pumpkin weight guessing, visitors and customers at Norway Savings Bank’s Fryeburg branch, located on 557 Main Street, were the recipients of entertainment and the bank’s gratitude during the branch’s 50th Anniversary week (October 20-24).

“We’re so thankful for our customers, their friendship, and their loyalty. Plus, it was wonderful to welcome in non-customers to participate in this celebration of 50 years in this incredible neighborhood and community,” said Michelle Luce, Market Manager AVP of Norway Savings Bank in Fryeburg and North Conway.

As part of the 50th anniversary celebration, NSB invited community members to help give away $2,025 to local nonprofits.

“All visitors were encouraged to cast their vote for a local nonprofit, and the money would be distributed according to their votes,” said Luce.

The process led to five Fryeburg-area nonprofits receiving financial assistance: Harvest Hills Animal Shelter in Fryeburg, Sunshine Backpack Food Program in Fryeburg, North Fryeburg Community Chapel Food Pantry, Fryeburg Recreation Department, and Brownfield Recreation Department. In addition, guests were able to take a guess on the weight of a nearly 40-pound pumpkin donated by Sherman Farm in Center Conway.

“We’re so grateful for our amazing communities and look forward to decades to come of building relationships and helping customers pursue the things that matter most to them,” said Luce. “We thank customers and non-customers for making this place so special and for the continued support.”
