NSB Donates $2,026 to Four Falmouth-Area Nonprofits in Honor of Branch’s 15th Anniversary
FALMOUTH—As part of the 15th anniversary celebration commemorating the opening of the Norway Savings Bank’s Falmouth branch, NSB invited community members to visit the branch at 266 U.S. Route One during the anniversary week (Sept. 28-Oct. 2) to help give away $2,026 to local nonprofits.
“All visitors were encouraged to cast their vote for a local nonprofit, and the money would be distributed according to their votes,” said Joe Leland, Market Manager VP in Falmouth.
The process led to large donations for Falmouth Food Pantry, Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART) of Maine, Family Ice Center in Falmouth, and Falmouth Land Trust. Visitors were also met with great treats, giveaways, and merchandise during the anniversary celebration.
“We’re so grateful for our amazing Falmouth community and we look forward to decades to come of building relationships and helping customers pursue the things that matter most to them,” said Leland. “We thank customers and non-customers for making this place so special and for the continued friendship and support.”
Other 2026 NSB branch anniversaries include Maine Street Branch in Brunswick’s 45th (this week, October 5-9) and Freeport Branch’s 40th (October 19-23). In August, NSB’s Naples branch celebrated its 45th anniversary and, in September, Bethel commemorated its 30th anniversary.
