NSB Donates $1,000 to Both Denmark Arts Center and Lake Region Community Theatre
DENMARK—In recognition and support of their dedication to providing performing arts experiences, opportunities, and memories to people of all ages, Denmark Arts Center and Lake Region Community Theatre were recent recipients of $1,000 donations from Norway Savings Bank.
The Denmark Arts Center on West Main Street has inspired joy and celebrated creativity for decades.
“The impact of a sponsorship is big for small nonprofits, and Norway Savings Bank’s consistent support means a great deal to the Denmark Arts Center and our community,” said Susan Beane, Executive Director of the Center.
Lake Region Community Theatre (LRCT) was established in 1996 to enable local stars to shine in a variety of productions over the years.
“Our summer musicals bring the community together and help performers build confidence and skills. Putting on a high-quality show comes with rising costs, and we’re thankful that NSB is so supportive of local theater. We couldn’t do it without them,” said Janet Ver Planck, President of LRCT, which offers its performances at Lake Region High School.
Bringing the beauty and excitement of the arts to area residents and visitors while building community in the process has long been a commitment for Norway Savings.
In 2025, NSB has made donations to Celebration Barn Theatre, Deertrees Theatre, Bethel Arts & Music, Indigo Arts Alliance, Oxford Hills Music and Performing Arts Association, Maine Music Society, and many other nonprofits that spread awareness and magic through their efforts.
“Venues and programs like these are cultural hallmarks in western Maine,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “Showcasing the talent of local performers and encouraging creative expression and entertainment is a key element of any flourishing community. We’re honored to assist in filling this need.”
