NSB Donates $10,130 to Local Nonprofits as Part of 2026 Branch Anniversary Celebrations

Thanks to thousands of votes cast by customers and community members, Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce that $10,130 will be donated to local nonprofits doing great things as a part of the 2026 branch anniversary celebrations in Naples (45th), Maine Street in Brunswick (45th), Freeport (40th), Bethel (30th), and Falmouth (15th).

“In addition to free treats and giveaways, visitors to the five branches during their specific anniversary weeks had the chance to vote for the local nonprofit of their choice,” said Darci Hamm, President of NSB. “At the end of the week, NSB was happy to donate $2,026 in each location to the nonprofits with the highest vote totals.”

By the end of the year’s final anniversary week in Freeport, 23 organizations had received a portion of the $10,130: Bethel Area District Exchange and Food Pantry, Bethel Farmers’ Market, Bethel Wood Bank, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bath/Brunswick, Boots2Roots, Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust, Casco Public Library, Chris’ Haven of Hope, Falmouth Food Pantry, Falmouth Land Trust, Family Ice Center, Freeport Community Library, Freeport Wood Bank, The Gathering Place, Homeless Animal Rescue Team (HART), Mahoosuc Kids Association, Midcoast Youth Center, Naples Food Pantry, Naples Volunteer Firefighters Association, Pleasant Mountain Ski Club, Tri-Town Little League, Trickey Pond Environmental Protection Association, and the University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond.

“For 160 years, NSB has been inspired by our mission to contribute value as neighbors,” said Hamm. “To be able to reaffirm that mission while celebrating the genuine friendships we’ve made in these communities is especially meaningful. We’re deeply grateful and honored to have this responsibility.”
