NSB Makes $2,000 Surprise Donation to Biddeford Food Pantry

BIDDEFORD—Norway Savings Bank team members continued their surprise “Holiday Helping Hands” donations to many worthy, local nonprofits last week with a special stop at the Biddeford Food Pantry, bringing a $2,000 check for the organization with them (picture, caption below).

“NSB’s generous contribution helps to make the season of giving special. Their grace is appreciated by all of the people that rely on our pantry to feed their families,” said Don Bisson, President and Manager of the Biddeford Food Pantry. “Making the holidays less stressful is a blessing for those in need.”

Since 1981, the Biddeford Food Pantry, which is located on 162 Elm Street, has provided food at no cost to citizens in need from Biddeford and surrounding areas. The food pantry is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and offers food, paper goods, diapers, pet food, and other items.
