NSB Donates $2,026 to Six Bethel-Area Nonprofits in Honor of 30th Anniversary
BETHEL—As part of the 30th anniversary celebration commemorating the opening of the Norway Savings Bank’s Bethel branch, NSB invited community members to visit the branch at One Parkway, Suite 100 during the anniversary week (August 31-September 4) to help give away $2,026 to local nonprofits.
All visitors were encouraged to cast their vote for a local nonprofit, and the money would be distributed according to their votes.
The process led to large donations for Chris’ Haven of Hope, Bethel Wood Bank, Bethel Area District Exchange and Food Pantry, Bethel Farmers’ Market, University of Maine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Bryant Pond, and Mahoosuc Kids Association.
Visitors were also met with great treats, giveaways, and merchandise during the anniversary celebration.
Other NSB branch anniversaries set for 2026 are the Falmouth branch’s 15th (September 28-October 2), the Maine Street branch in Brunswick’s 45th (October 5-9), and the Freeport branch’s 40th (October 19-23). In addition to Bethel, NSB’s branch in Naples celebrated its 45th anniversary in August.
