NSB Donates $5,500 to Bicycle Coalition of Maine
PORTLAND—Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce a $5,500 contribution to the Bicycle Coalition of Maine (BCM), which is committed to making Maine’s streets and communities safer and more accessible.
The donation will help support the organization’s Joy Ride Fundraiser on Sunday, June 7, in Kennebunkport as well as Valet Bike Parking, a BCM program that offers free and secure bike parking at sporting events, concerts, and community festivals in Greater Portland.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to assist BCM in their initiatives which promote healthy communities and encourage vibrant, sustainable neighborhoods,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “For over 30 years, BCM has done tremendous work in creating these friendly environments for community members.”
“NSB’s support shows the bank believes in making Maine a better place for biking and walking and allows us to support advocacy and infrastructure improvements for cyclists and pedestrians. We can’t thank them and all of our sponsors enough for getting involved in this way,” said Andrew Zarro, Executive Director of BCM.
