NSB Presents Surprise $1,000 Donation to Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine

SACO—Norway Savings Bank “elves” made a special visit to Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine (AFFM) in Saco to deliver a surprise $1,000 donation (picture, caption below). The visit is part of NSB’s “Holiday Helping Hands” campaign which is providing many local nonprofits with surprise contributions and an extra boost during the season of giving.

AFFM provides support services for adoptive and foster parents as well as kinship providers. The organization offers training, guidance, knowledge, and resources needed to handle complex issues as families across Maine open their hearts and homes to children. AFFM works closely with a variety of community collaboratives, resources, and agencies to help reduce barriers so families can provide safe and supportive homes for youth in their care.

“We are always able to fill holiday gift requests because of generous businesses like NSB,” said Meagan Sprague, Resource Family Program Manager at AFFM. “The contributions are so appreciated as they help us continue to support the families and children we serve. AFFM could not do the work we do without the community around us!”
