NSB Donates $1,000 to Mount Washington Valley Housing Coalition
CONWAY—Affordable housing fulfills a basic human need and contributes to the wellbeing and economic vitality of a community in a variety of ways.
Encouraging a growing supply of housing for individuals and families is a shared goal of Norway Savings Bank and the Mount Washington Valley Housing Coalition, a non-profit organization based in Conway that advocates for housing opportunities that meet those needs and many others.
“The Coalition is driven by an ongoing dedication to fostering housing solutions that benefit the community through forums and events that inspire action, advocating for initiatives that benefit homeowners and affordable housing development, educational workshops that help community members maintain and achieve financial success, and collaboration with local organizations on housing initiatives and programs,” said Sara Butterfield, Executive Director for the Mount Washington Valley Housing Coalition.
In support of that important work, Norway Savings Bank, which is opening a new branch in North Conway on May 19, 2025, was proud to donate $1,000 to the Coalition recently to assist in its positive impact on area residents.
“There are many examples of how the Coalition is ensuring that residents have a better experience with finding housing, particularly homes that allow them to live in close proximity to their jobs. That’s something that has infinite benefits for people, the wider community, and the environment,” said Dan Walsh, President and CEO of Norway Savings Bank. “For 15 years, the Coalition has carried out its mission of improving economic growth, development, and quality of life, and NSB is happy to play a part by supporting an organization promoting a brighter future in Mount Washington Valley.”
“We’re grateful for Norway Savings Bank’s contribution to this vital work,” said Butterfield. “The leadership of our local business community is essential to advancing the conversation around these topics so that, together, we can foster a vibrant community that respects the unique needs of each area in our valley.”
