NORWAY, Maine – Norway Savings Bank won the top prize in its category at the third annual American Bankers Association (ABA) Bank Marketing Video Awards, presented on Sunday, September 23 at the ABA Bank Marketing Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. More than 400 entries were reviewed from banks of all sizes nationwide.

“Video marketing has proven to be a powerful way to boost conversations and build relationships with consumers,” said Jim Edrington, ABA’s chief member engagement officer. “Bank marketers excel in this discipline, and this year’s winners continued the trend of raising the bar even higher.”

Norway’s video – “Where I Stand” – won the category for banks in the $1 Billion – $5 Billion Assets size.  “Where I Stand” distinguished itself from others in its category because it was highly conceptual –focusing on the bank’s unique “Live Your Life in Color”  brand statement.

A panel of bank marketing experts evaluated the production value, creativity and messaging of all entries. The top six videos for each asset category were then posted on ABABankMarketing.com for public voting, where tens of thousands of viewers helped determine the winners.  To view the video “Where I Stand,” please click here.
