In 2020, Norway Savings Bank celebrated milestone anniversaries at four of our branches:
- Gorham – 15 years
- Congress Street, Portland – 20 years
- Topsham – 35 years
- Fryeburg – 45 years
During normal years, we would have celebrated in person, but due to the pandemic, we decided to connect with our communities by providing support that’s so desperately needed. Therefore, in conjunction with each celebration, NSB pledged to donate $2020 to local nonprofits. Branch employees nominated local organizations and customers voted online and in-branch to determine how the funds would be distributed.
The following non-profit organizations received gifts of $100 or more:
- Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mid-Maine
- Dinner Bell North, Fryeburg
- Friends of the Topsham Public Library
- Fryeburg Recreation Department
- Gorham Food Pantry
- Great Falls Elementary School One School, One Book Program, Gorham
- Harvest Hills Animal Shelter, Fryeburg
- Long Journey to a New Beginning Animal Shelter, Fryeburg
- Maine Blue Collar Scholarship Foundation
- Maine Children’s Cancer Program, Portland
- Maine Immigrant and Refugee Services, Lewiston
- Mid-Coast Hunger Prevention Program
- Riding to the Top, Windham
- Sunshine Backpack Food Program, Fryeburg

More than 60 other organizations received donations less than $100.
