NSB Service Interruption on May 17-20, 2024

Over the weekend of May 17-20, Norway Savings Bank will migrate its data processing to a state-of-the-art operations center monitored 24 hours a day. The upgrade will significantly expand our capabilities and efficiency, enabling us to improve our service.

To successfully and securely complete this project, many of the bank’s functions will be temporarily unavailable on the weekend of May 17-20. We truly apologize for the inconvenience, but want to ensure that this process is as brief and consolidated as possible.

What Does This Mean to You?

  • Upon logging in to internet or mobile banking for the first time after the data migration, you will have the opportunity to set up three new security questions and then reauthenticate with two-factor authentication. For this reason, in advance of May 17, we encourage you to visit your internet banking profile to review or update your two-factor authentication information and contact information. If you only use the NSB Mobile Solutions App, please ensure that your two-factor authentication contact information is current.
  • Internet banking and mobile banking will be unavailable from Friday, May 17, at 5 p.m., through Monday, May 20, at 8:30 a.m. During this time, you will not be able to make internal or external account transfers, initiate Bill Pay or Zelle® payments or check your account balances.
  • Telephone banking will be unavailable from Friday, May 17, at 5 p.m. until 9 a.m. on Monday, May 20.
  • NSB branches will be closed on Saturday, May 18.
  • Night deposits dropped off after closing on Friday, May 17, will not be processed until Monday, May 20.
  • ATMs will be available all weekend to dispense cash and accept deposits, but account balances will not be available.
  • NSB ATM and debit cards will work all weekend. However, there may be intermittent interruptions.
  • If you are using account aggregator services (i.e. QuickBooks, Mint, Monarch Money, Plaid, etc.) or have linked your NSB accounts to other financial institutions, you may need to re-establish that connection after the migration. For Quicken and QuickBooks, you will need to re-establish your connection after May 21.

What Do I Have to Do?

  • The migration process will not affect your NSB banking experience before or after the short downtime, but we want to offer you plenty of notice so you can plan ahead.
  • If you should have any questions in advance of migration weekend, please don’t hesitate to contact the Customer Care Center at 1-888-725-2207.

Part of the migration will include providing you with a new checking and savings statement format with a pleasing design and dynamic content that will continue to feature an account summary section with all account activity displayed in a more organized way.
It cannot be overstated how much we appreciate your patience and understanding. We are proud to provide financial solutions and enhancements that don’t just aim to manage your accounts, but also mitigate fraud and, ultimately, make your life easier. We thank you for your loyalty and trust!
